ADT Security Services Inc. is currently in search of applicants seeking full-time schedules with prior customer service experience for the following position:
CUSTOMER SERVICE SPECIALIST - ALARM DISPATCHING
No Sales, No Telemarketing, No Collections!
Entry-level positions on 1st and 2nd shift are available in our 24-hour customer monitoring center
Position is responsible for handling all incoming alarm signal activities and taking appropriate action per instruction. Make outbound calls in order to contact customers, emergency contacts, and Police/Fire Departments regarding alarm activities while following standard operating procedures.
Major Responsibilities:
· Reads, interprets and records as needed, signals received from customer’s premises.
· Initiates necessary action when irregular signals are received or trouble develops.
· Works with outside repair technicians, guards, etc. to ensure that signals are received properly and that circuits and signaling devices are restored to normal operation.
· Updates restricted data such as phone numbers.
· Notify appropriate authorities and customers if alarm signal is received. Must be able to adhere to standard operating procedures and special instructions.
· Must be able to respond quickly and precisely to incoming phone calls.
· Will be required to document all alarm activity and subscriber phone calls via PC and activity reports.
· Must be able to assist customers via telephone with technical type alarm questions.
· Will be required to contact customer via telephone to inquire about unusual events with the customer’s alarm system, i.e., not closing or opening on time.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
· Must be able to handle stress and be able to do multi-tasks simultaneously.
· Regular attendance must be maintained.
· This position requires heavy phone work as well as taking verbal instructions, typing, reading, speaking and writing.
